I dismembered myself!

I'd thought about it in the past but, knowing "the church" was nothing more than crap, what was the point? I'd not yet had my name removed. But every one in awhile that bugged me. I knew they still used my name as a number in their members number game. But I dismissed my concerns, knowing that mormons and their games don't matter in the really big matters of life.

Then I found your site more than a year ago, and didn't join. But Mr. what's his name, from England, (he doesn't know me) finally convinced me to join. And BY GOLLY! I read your threads, believed your testimonies and now believe that counts do make a difference. I believe that by removing my name from the mormon church records, one less person will be present to convince potential future members to join their abusive, false cult.

So I sent the letter in. I'm NO LONGER A MEMBER OF THAT SOCIETY OF MESSED PEOPLE, THE MORMONS!

YEAH, ME!

I'm more than wondering what takes me so long to do the right thing? nearly 30 years to leave satans work?

Yes she is.

Her Daddy came here, to Idaho of America, as a refugee. His uncle filled out his paper work, saying he was 26, when he was actually 16. No, not to get him into bars, but so he could come here alone, without adult guardians, after Saddam Hussein killed his oldest brother and father. Saddam killed his brother because the young man was an atheist college student, argued against the government, and wanted change. Saddam killed his father because the good Muslim man cried out against the murder of his oldest son.

Salah. now aged 31, is my son-in-law. My daughter and he gave me a grand daughter. No one has ever done anything more for me or any GOD. Please, understand, I do not equal myself to GOD when making that statement. I equalize myself to people, thank my only child, Salah, and especially GOD, and know that no one and no religion is better than any other. When life contines GOD is pleased.

Congrats for removing your name. I also saw it as making a statement to the organization that I reject them for the lies that they tought and I no longer wish to be associated with them.

It's not just making a statement for the church. It's also something for your own psyche to close the certain chapter and hence improving your capabilities to move forwards.

Now I've received the 1st letter, saying blah-blah-blah, sending this to a stake president and bishop, blah blah blah, urge you to reconsider, blah blah blah. So that's confirmation they've received my letter and I am ex-communicated, even if they haven't yet done their mormon book work. Now to step 2: Letting them now I'm well aware of my rights and they better don't send out a strange man they call a bishop or I'll call the police; remove my name and records for your books!

I would think that before you call the police you would be required to tell the individual to get off your property.

if you've stated in your exit letter that they are not allowed to contact you in anyway, like coming to your house and these people have read your letter and understood it. Then that is considered harassment, and you can call the police.

I have just got my letter saying they forwarded my exit letter to my local church or stake president or whatever. AND I FEEL GREAT! this means they have received my letter and know I reject them, which also means at this point in time they are illegally holding my name and any info on me.

When I first read that, I thought you'd cut your limbs off!
