Greg West sent out an email to members of his SPAM group, in which, among other things, he said,
Quote:
...the site is going to "reserve" status. It wills tillb e available for those who would like to post in the forums or update their blogs, but i won't be regularly updating or maintaining the site for the foreseeable future.
Last fall, as many of you know, I was called to be branch president of our congregation. . . . . Mike West, my son, has admin rights for the site. He can moderate discussions as needed, but we won't be adding new members or anything like that.

. . . . . .
There's really not much "new under the sun" in the anti-Mormon world. I think we've covered almost every topic they tend to attack over the past two years.
. . . . . . but I think it's time to move on.
He urges people to visit his site at the Examiner newspaper, and a site related to his book on "Building the Ark - Preparing Today to Live in the United Order" and offers his other book, "A Mormon Answers the Hard Questions Posed by Anti-Mormons". I commend his article, "Trick Questions", on his Examiner blog, for the fun of seeing his skill at distraction, avoidance, and rationalization in action ........

Abinadi, I can't think of a better man to tackle the task of putting Greg West in a tight corner and then using his own words to slap the crap out of him. Do you have a link of where you posted and what you've offered?

I noticed on the Salt Lake Tribune that every time an article the might do a little damage to the LDS church comes up (often written very subtly by Peggy Fletcher Stack) that her colum is littered with hundreds of pro and anti comments. The pro Mormons often have the same mentality and incredibly limited logic as Greg West and I think they use his site frequently as talking points to try to prove their illusions. They invariably get shut down in short order by dozens of former LDS who know more about their religion than they could ever dream to understand and they paint themselves into a very tight corner. It's fun to watch the mayhem and confirms to me that those that get out are genuinely the more intelligent ones. It leaves some very limited minds inside the fort to defend the fragile rotting village of idiots.

Insanad, I too love to read the comments after such articles in the Trib. Very entertaining.

Sometimes the comments are so incredibly illiterate and judgemental and reflect a very emotionally infantile perspective of the LDS populace. I think the devout LDS do more harm to their own than anything any exmormon could do. Greg West should get "Anti-Mormon of the Year" but I'll bet Dallin Oaks could be runner up. When I was LDS his words and talks by Boyd K. Packer would just send the hair on the back of my neck standing up. My creep sensors go off whenever those guys speak.

I really didn't post much in regards to GW.
One site I posted, I was banned,
but after sufficient self-abasement was allowed back in.
(So I dare not post my posts there here,
lest I am discovered as disguised and disbanded once again.)

GW exercises what I like to call "Extreme Blinderism" in his self-sustained status of Messianic Mopologist.
11th A of F: We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may .......

except not how an exmormon believes,
no where on our sites, and
not what's contrary to Mormonism we don't! ;)

I was Zorched as I was going back and forth between a non-LDS site and his to confirm what was being quoted on his site. I think he has software that is able to identify what site you are being transferred from. When I asked why I was banned, he was a little terse. In order to get unbanned, he demanded that I provide my testimony of the church. I didn't and when I stated that I actually disagreed with some of the things he posted, he refused. Only those few individuals who post and post favorably get to leave comments on his site. And he is a branch president?!!! I'm sure that some day he will get a rude awaking when some angry member plants a fist in his face.

There are times when I will leap to several sites between certain sites, to sort of cover my tracks, because I know some folks do take into consideration "where you're coming from." The safest thing to do is to delete your cookies (and history, I suppose). Or use different browsers -- I don't know if the software can see where you have been on an inactive browser program. You could even use a public computer. You can't be held responsible for where people go on a public computer.

Here's what he says on facebook:
Quote:
S.P.A.M. is a network dedicated to educating people about the existence of anti-Mormonism.

They can leave us, but they can't leave us alone! :P
