Quote:
A technological crackdown, telegraphed by Mormon leaders, has effectively blocked the pre-eminent whistle-blower of controversial proxy baptisms from accessing the LDS Church’s database that chronicles so-called baptisms for the dead.

LDS officials defend the move, saying it helps prevent overzealous Mormons and mischief-makers from violating church policy by submitting the names of prominent Jewish figures, such as Anne Frank and Daniel Pearl, both discovered on the baptism rolls in recent weeks.

And:

Quote:
"The church is committed to preventing the misguided practice of submitting the names of Holocaust victims and prominent individuals for proxy baptism. In addition to reiterating its policy to members, the church has implemented a new technological barrier to prevent abuse of the New FamilySearch system. Anyone trying to access names that have been restricted will have their account suspended and be required to contact FamilySearch to establish their family relationship in order to have their access reinstated. Abuse of the system will result in the permanent loss of database access

So rather than address the real issue with necro baptisms – they choose to hide the names – and penalize those searching for those names. By flagging names and restricting accounts they can continue to indiscriminately baptize. I predict that they will once again get caught with blueberry pie on their faces.

They should do what Rev. Moon did - bless all the dead people all at once, and get it over with.

( In his case, however, it is necessary to do additional sets of liberation ceremonies, which are very costly, but very effective in freeing your ancestors from hell.)

Or what Jesus did; be the great sacrifice for all people and for all time.

Hebrews 10:12 wrote:
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Hebrews ... now that's a book I don't remember the Mormons focusing on. Never came up in a temple prep class. The arrogance of them doing something greater than Jesus, their Lord and Savior, did or could do. Mormon temple work basically says that "Jesus died on the cross to save your body (resurrection) and that was a free gift to all and Jesus suffered in the garden so that He could team up with us to save your soul from the lesser heaven." And yet what does Jesus say?
Matthew 12:6 wrote:
But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Why would Jesus need a Mormon's temple work to exault someone? He finished it. It's almost as if to the Mormons, Jesus didn't have enough power to do this without the help of a person. It diminishes Jesus and exaults man. It contradicts the Bible.

Why don't Mormons believe the books that they carry around and call scripture? If it's unreliable, cast it off or fix it but they don't ... they carry around the uncorrected version and ignore is mostly unless it seems to support the subject they are talking about.

I think that it's lovely that they have this endless procession of dead people to do temple work for. The weight of billions of dead presses on them. Hopefully some will flee from the endless geneologies.

Peace

Well, one thorny/ burning objective was reached. Helen Radkey's investigation was effectively excluded/stopped in her tracks, by this change. Too bad, but maybe there is a back door somewhere...
